All locavores be assured, Kagome sources ingredients locally to each production facility from only certified vendors. Kagome's production in CA is in the heart of tomato growing country where more than 95% of the US crop is grown. Many other vital ingredients are also grown in the neighborhood including garlic, onions, peppers, and other seasonings. With plants on both sides of the US, we can optimize these costs and impacts to best service our customers and our world.

Using the Best Products

Sustainability and buying local do not always mean procurement within several hundred miles of production. For example, in CA we have arguably the best growing conditions in the country for most specialty crop items. Pineapples would require hot house growing and the carbon foot print to ship pineapple concentrate from tropical regions is far lower than local hot house growing.
